Present and The Future
Ethan’s Birthday
We celebrated Ethan’s birthday this month and we didn’t do anything special like the way we did for his one year celebration but we made up for it by getting him a REALLY SPECIAL CAKE.
Ethan loves trains and especially Thomas the Train. So my wife Kelly went all out and got him a Thomas cake that included 2 actual trains and plastic trees!
The cake was a work of art and so pretty that I felt bad cutting and eating it.
Kelly and I went to Ethan’s school and celebrated his birthday with all his friends.
Learning to Negotiate
Time flies by so fast and Ethan is growing up fast.
I still remember the day Ethan was born and how everything played out. It was one of the most special days of my life that I will never forget.
Lately, Ethan has learned to negotiate already.
When I say we have to brush our teeth in 5 minutes, he will say 9 minutes!
If I say we have to go to bed in 10 minutes, he will say 15 minutes!
He must have learned something about writing headline copy because he ALWAYS uses odd numbers! I guess he is learning from his Daddy! 🙂
By the way, for those who are interested in writing effective marketing headlines, here is a tip.
Make sure you always use prime odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 11) because they always do better than non-prime (9, 15) or even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8).
A Look Into The Future
I’ve received a lot of feedback about my recent post “The One MLM Skill I Would Teach My Kids” so that they could be successful in the future.
It led to a conversation on how things change and what will happen 25 years from now when my kids are ready to work and contribute to the world.
Who knows what will happen 25 years from now?
One thing for sure is that change will happen and there is super high probability whatever job you have right now will either not exist or will go through a big drastic change.
If you think your job will give your family the financial security that it deserves you are badly deluded.
Watch the video below on the ONE REASON why you can’t rely on your job.
Businesses Also Change and Get Affected But…
Jobs are not secure and I know businesses get affected too.
But…
You’re much more immune to the changes when you have a business because of YOU.
YOU are an entrepreneur and you have a BIG advantage over the employee.
The Real Advantage of An Entrepreneur
The benefit of being an Entrepreneur or working for yourself is not the money.
The real value of an Entrepreneur comes from the process of learning to be creative.
To be successful in business you must use your creativity to make things happen.
It’s not an easy journey but during the process you develop the skills to be flexible and creative so that no matter what happens to the economy or new technology, you can still make a living and live the life you want.
Focus on One Simple Step to Create Your Future
Success doesn’t happen all at once though.
Every successful business starts with one simple step.
And all these little steps then add up to one big successful project or business.
Don’t let the future catch you by surprise.
Don’t rely on others to create your destiny.
Be proactive instead of reactive.
Focus on one simple step that you can do this week that will grow your business.
So…
What are your immediate plans this week to “create your future?”
