When you prospect in your network marketing business, it is common for prospects to have questions and also have certain mental roadblocks or Objections that need to be overcome.
One of the common questions and objections that your prospect may say to you is “I don’t want to sell” or “I don’t like to sell” and unless you are able to help your prospect get over this perspective on “selling,” it will be hard for you to get him to join your business.
How to Overcome the Sales Objection
Fortunately, there are a few ways to handle this objection.
1) “Selling” is something we do all the time already.
Show the prospect that we are “selling” all the time. We convince or “sell” the people we know everyday in what we eat, how we spend our time, how we spend our money, etc.
2) Show that there 2 are ways to “sell.”
There is the annoying stereotypical selling that is pushy and annoying and there is the friendly warm approach.
3) All financially successful people in the world had to learn to sell in one point of their careers.
If you don’t want to sell, then you can’t complain about your current financial situation or your job. You will have to just accept the status quo. But if you want to make money and have a better life, you must learn how to sell!
4) Your prospect always duplicates their experience with you.
If you are hard-selling and pushy, then they think they will have to do the same. So the key to successful prospecting is asking questions that lead your prospect to join instead of “telling” them to join.
