Million Dollar Day: If They Can Do It, I Can Do It as Well!

My “Million Dollar Day”

I can't believe it has been only one week since I last wrote to you.

Normally time flies by, and it feels like I just wrote.

However, this week so much has happened that it feels like it has been a month since we were together and I wrote about My Simple Blueprint for Success and My Contrarian Philosophy.

It Still Feels Good 2 Years Later

I was out in Utah last week for my delayed “Million Dollar Day Celebration.”

Back in 2012, I was enshrined as a member of my MLM company's prestigious “Million Dollar Club,” and was supposed to have my celebration that year. However, due to various business and personal reasons, my celebration kept on getting pushed back.

One time it was because of Ethan's special 1-year birthday party. Another time, it was the birth of my second son, Brendan.

So finally…

Two years later, I was free and able to make my Million Dollar Celebration!

I admit that leading up to last week, I wasn't as excited about it as if I had gone two years ago.

Once I arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah though, I felt special.

I got picked up and stayed at the Grand America, and got wined and dined like royalty.

Success Is a Journey

Last week’s visit made me reflect on my first visit to Salt Lake City for my company's annual international convention.

At the time, I hadn't made that much money in MLM so I had to share a room at a humble Motel 6 with one of my downlines.

Not only was the Motel 6 room small, kind of dirty, and far from the events, but it also had no iron!

There is a good end to the story though.

That downline, John Goerlitz, today is an Emerald Director and 6-figure income earner, and I'm a Million Dollar Club member.

Yes, we’ve come a long way!

When we think back to that event, we laugh…

I can't make too much fun of the way John ironed his shirt because at least he WORE a collared shirt. I was so out of the business world that I just wore a t-shirt and sweatshirt to the events.

You can see how much we have grown. 🙂

When John and I talk about the pains and our journey to success, we always remember back to that first event.

That event was the turning point for our MLM business, and it's the reason why every MLM distributor must attend their company's annual Convention.

It's a huge belief builder.

The biggest impact that event had on us was that it demonstrated to us that MLM works.

It may not work for everyone, but it does work.

You couldn't deny Network Marketing worked when you looked at the hundreds of successful distributors.

When we saw the top income earners, we challenged ourselves to not only learn the Five Fundamental Skills that they had, but more importantly, to adopt their success habits and their mindset on how to tackle problems.

I realized they had problems just as I did, but they just knew how to approach and handle them better.

They were no better than me.

My attitude was:

Whatever skill they had, I could learn it too.

Whatever habit they owned, I could own it too.

Whatever success they had, I could do it too.

What about you?

There is no one that says you can't achieve the success you want.

There is no single person that holds your fortune and prevents you from getting what you want in life.

You can do it!

It may take some time, but you can.

The next time you hear or see something about someone successful, ask yourself:

– What skills did they need to learn?

– What habits do they have?

– What do they say to themselves that makes them keep going when they encounter challenges?

If they can do it, you can do it!

If someone like me, a shy, fast talking, Asian guy who speaks with an accent and lisp, can become a Million Dollar Club earner, you can as well!

If I can do it, YOU can do it as well!
