Recap of Time Management Lesson 1
Here is a recap of the time management lesson we learned in Lesson 1
– We cannot “manage” time but we can manage our ACTIVITIES
– Definition of an employee
– How Time is the ONLY limiting factor to our success
– Importance of REALLY treating “Time is Money”
– Taking a “Time Inventory”
– Time Inventory Exercise
What You Learned from Time Inventory Exercise
If you have successfully completed the Time Inventory exercise the last 2 days, I’m sure you are shocked at how you wasted precious minutes of the day doing things that are not priorities.
You are probably spending time on:
1) Activities that do not increase and grow your business
2) Activities that you are NOT doing with your loved ones and family
I call these unimportant activities “Time Thieves”, and just like how a thief steals your money and wallet – time thieves steal the precious minutes, hours, days, weeks and years of your life.
Who are the Time Thieves
Some common Time Thieves that are stealing your life away may include:
– Social media
– Watching TV
– Information Overload
– Going for perfection
– Checking emails constantly
– Multitasking
– Participating in gossip
Learn that Time Thieves are NOT important activities and do NOT help you achieve your goals in life.
Watching and reading the local news is one of the worst things you can do.
Does knowledge of the local news really impact your life?
Ask yourself when was the last time “being updated on the local news” helped improve your life?
Chances are the news you watch is negative and has zero value.
News instead has a negative impact on you but that is another topic that we won’t touch here.
How to Have More Time in Your Day
The next important step towards having more time to work on your network marketing business and in your personal life, is to ELIMINATE AS MANY OF THESE TIME THIEVES ASAP!
Go back to the piece of paper where you logged in how you spent your time in the Time Inventory exercise and notice how many Time Thieves there were.
Once you highlight them, make the decision to eliminate them.
Then, as you start to eliminate them, the next step is to add how much more time you have.
This exercise alone will give you at least 1 -2 hours more in a day that you can spend in your business and for your personal life.
So go and eliminate your Time Thieves now and let me know how much more time you have “created.”
Once you have “created” more time, then we will go to the next step towards maximizing your productivity in the next lesson.

This similar the way that a lawyer manage time. I used to do it when I was working for E&Y. I did time inventory with all the services that I provided to the clients and used to billing purposes. I can make room for USANA business.
Thank you Scott and Simon for all your help

Maria, I’m glad you find this lesson helpful. Once we eliminate the Time Thieves the next step is to use that newly created time to focus on our business
