Your 5 Core Production Activities in Network Marketing

By now you should have already completed the previous 2 Lessons from Extreme MLM Time Management Regimen. If you have not, please go back and do those 2 exercises.

Brief recap of Lessons 1 and 2

Lesson 1: Time is our only limited factor, taking a Time Inventory and doing the Time Inventory Exercise

Lesson 2: Your Time Thieves and how eliminating them will create 2 extra hours in your day

So now that you have completed Lesson 2, you now have 2 extra hours in your day!

These 2 extra hours do not need to be a complete 2 hour block. It can be a few minutes here and there but these “nicks and crannies” of time will add up to the 2 extra hours.

The next step is to decide what activities you do during these valuable 2 hours.

To be successful in anything in life, you have to make sure that you work on your own main priorities first before you do anything else. For example, if you want to be a good professional basketball player, you have to make sure you practice your fundamental drills first before you anything else. If you “have fun” and start playing pickup ball and games before you do your fundamental drills, by the time you are finished playing, you will be too tired to do the drills or do not have enough time.

The same applies to your network marketing business. The biggest mistake people in MLM make is they spend time doing things that are NOT “production” activities. These non-producing activities are their own Time Thieves and take away the time that you really need to grow your business.

To be successful in network marketing, these are the 5 most important activities that you must focus on FIRST. These activities will help you grow your organization and help you earn money the FASTEST!

5 Core Production Activities in Network Marketing

1) Prospect your current contact list

Present your products or opportunity to the people you know. Talk to at LEAST 5 new people each day

2) Followup with your contacts that you have prospected already

Goal is to do 5 followups each day

3) Marketing – Build new connections and relationships

Go out there and meet at least 2 new people a day. You can do it online, offline or run advertising but you must meet new people that but build those relationships. The key is you do NOT prospect these contacts. Your goal is to build a relationship of trust first and only after this is established, you can share with them your products and opportunity. Most people encounter challenges in network marketing because they either skip this step and run out of contacts to talk to or they prospect these new contacts way too early before trust is built. Remember, no one wants to buy from a salesman that just wants to “use and sell people” so if you prospect these new contacts too early, you will never be able to build that trust.

4) Spend time learning each day through Self Development

We are all born with unlimited potential and can learn anything but we must make that commitment to learning! The best news is that thanks to technology you can do self development easily. If you don’t have time to read, go get audios and you can listen to audios while you commute, walk the dog, driving to run errands, etc.

5) Communicate with your Team

Talk to the key leaders in your team. People don’t care how much you know unless you show them how much you care. Keep this phone calls short. Your goal is not to hear someone’s life story. The goal is simply to see how they are doing and whether they need help. Keep these conversations 5 – 10 minutes max.

If you don’t have a team yet, then make sure you talk to your upline. It is critical to stay in the loop and have constant communication with your mentor.

Make sure you do these 5 Activities FIRST

Make the commitment to do these 5 activities BEFORE you do anything else in your day. The best news is that #4 (Self Development) and #5 (Communicate with your Team) can be done while you are commuting or doing chores. (just remember to wear a headset if you are driving!). When I started my network marketing business part time, every second of my commuting time and doing chores (grocery shopping) was spent either listening to audios or talking to my team. I used my headsets so much that I would wear them out every 2 – 3 months and had to get new ones! But the consistent dedication to these 5 tasks helped me grow my income fast and allowed me to quit my job and go full time in network marketing.

Start focusing on these 5 activities EVERYDAY and you will see dramatic results in 21 days. I guarantee it!

    My prospect current contact list it is not so long. #3 it is my main activitie that I MUST do and work so hard on. #4 and #5 I’m doing it without a problem. I’m struggling because I wasn’t so active building new relationships and friends in the past.
    I appreciate all your lessons, but this one it is really important.
