That question brings up exciting memories but also AWFUL memories.
It’s exciting because a big part of my million dollar MLM business was built through online marketing.
But it also brings back terrible memories of the frustrations of trying to figure things out…
Such as valuable time watching 10 YouTube videos in a row so that I could get WordPress to work…
And even when I learned to outsource the work to freelancers, it was still painful staying up all day to communicate with them… only to find out they still couldn’t get things to work right.
All the time that I spent communicating back and forth to web developers could have been spent on prospecting and growing my business faster!

If you have all the time in the world, then sure, you don’t need a website.
But if you want to work smarter and achieve success quicker, then you must need a personal website.
Why Must You Need a Website?
You need a website because people buy you!

No, Facebook is not good enough.
And if you have less than 1,000 likes, those likes to your page really hurt you more than help you.
Cause everyone has pages now and it’s very common for pages to have over 20,000 fans.
Plus everyone has Facebook pages now so what makes you stand out?
You attract more prospects and leads if you have a website that stands out.

What About My Company Website?
A company site is good for prospects who know about your business but there are many reasons why a company site doesn’t help you attract leads and grow your business.
I want to clarify what I just said.
Your company website can be good for prospects who already know about your business and to learn more info.
It’s a great site for follow-up or to send them if you have presented to your prospect already but…
The company website is a VERY BAD TOOL for attracting new prospects.
Aside from the fact that you are not branding yourself and don’t stand out, there are way too many links on your company site.
In online marketing, you want to CREATE CURIOSITY and give one clear Call to Action (CTA.)
Here is another example of too many links.
When people click around, curiosity is destroyed and they no longer want to talk to you because they feel that “they know it all already.”
If you want to be effective in marketing you give the bait that your fish want to bite.
If you give too much info you overwhelm and end up losing the prospects.
In both those examples above, there is no specific focus.
Your website should be targeting to your prospect’s specific needs.
If you want to market the business opportunity, your website should have a simple message to encourage people to contact you for more info and nothing more than that.
If you want to market a specific product you should have a site that talks only about that product and nothing else.
That’s how effective marketing is done and how I built a million dollar MLM business.
