Productivity
Many people who read this will think I am crazy and won’t get this.
But Entrepreneurs or leaders in the Network Marketing profession will fully understand.
Most folks will think I’ve got no life and I’m a Workaholic.
But little do they know that being called a “Workaholic” is a badge of honor.
I’m talking about being productive and getting as much things done in a day.
One of the Best Days Ever
Last Wednesday I had one of the best days I’ve had in a long time.
I simply had a GREAT GREAT GREAT day because I got so many things done!
I get such a great feeling when I can get my important tasks done for the day. I just can’t explain in.
I got SO excited that night that I posted it on Facebook and someone commented that “feeling good and being productive is a paradox.”
Like I said, not everyone gets it…
Most people just don’t understand but entrepreneurs do.
Or maybe, productivity is not such an off-the wall topic since there are so many books about time management and productivity now.
I just searched for “productivity” on Amazon and found 181,943 results!
I didn’t even bother to find out what would come up if I typed in “time management.”
Then I looked into the iPhone App Store, and discovered there are over 877 apps that I can download just for the search term “productivity!”
So maybe there are more people than I can initially thought of that would relate to the great feeling you get when you are productive.
The Super Great Day
One of the 35 time management tips that I teach to increase your productivity in my Extreme MLM Productivity Regiment training course is to keep a log of everything you do at minimum of 30 minute intervals. ‘
When you do this, you will initially realize how much time you waste.
The second tip is to learn to use a timer to set a start time and end time to everything you do.
So here is what I did on my magical day:
———-
520am: Wake up and read the Word and pray
540am: Record 4 videos for my Daily Leadership and Daily Mindset blog
607am: Run 2 miles to the gym
630am: Weight lifting at gym
7am: Run 2 miles back home
720am: Breakfast
735am: Walk my dog, Obi and listen to self development
8-9am: Work on my book
9-915am: 2nd Breakfast (eat with Ethan)
910-1010am: Record video instructions to send to my virtual assistant
1015-11am: Drive 35 miles to Team lunch meeting
1030am: Talk to one of my Coaching Clients while driving (using handsfree headset of course)
11am-1230pm: Team lunch meeting
1230pm: Buy groceries at Chinese market
1245pm: Drive back home and talk to one of my Ruby Directors (using handsfree headset of course)
115pm: Arrive home
115pm: Said hi to Ethan and taught him how to say the name of the groceries that I purchased as I unpacked my shopping bags
130-140pm: Walk Obi for 15 minutes while listening to Self Development
215-3pm: Nap time!
3-310pm: Snack (mango)
310-445pm: Take poor Ethan to the hospital so that doctor can check on his fever
445-505pm: Quick afternoon yoga session in backyard (self practice)
505-520pm: Snack (grapefruit and kiwi)
525pm: Send out new instructions to assistant for posting my latest blogs
525-650pm: Train and meet new distributor at Starbucks
650-740pm: Dinner with family
740pm: Walk Obi and talk to my downline leader
800-850pm: Hang out with Kelly
850-930pm: Post 4 Blog Posts (edited existing drafts and posted them)
930-944pm: Reply to emails
945-950pm: Convert Ethan’s birthday video and upload to Mom inlaw’s iPad so that she can watch on plane
950-10pm: 10 minute abs workout while watching ESPN.com highlights
10-1020pm: Shower
1020-1030pm: Last walk of the day for Obi. No self development. Time to quiet the brain. Just mental reflection of the day
1030-1040pm: Write diary
1040-1045pm: Write entry to my “Letter to Ethan” (this is a diary that captures all his special moments and how he is growing each day)
1045-1050pm: Plan and create agenda for next day
1050-1055pm: Read (normally I read more but I felt so bad for not reading that I just read for 5 minutes so that I can say I “read” that day)
1055pm: Pray
11pm: Hang out w Kelly and sleep
———-
NOTE: I normally take Ethan to the park in the afternoons but unfortunately since he had a fever, I had to take him to the doctor instead 🙁
I am proud to say that compared to most people, I probably get more accomplished in 1 day than they do in 3 – 4 days.
But I still have WAYS to go.
I know the top entrepreneurs get even more done in the same 24 hours.
Key Part of My Growth
The study of productivity has been a key part of my business growth in the past 3 years.
I like to call it produtivity instead of time management because time management is a myth.
You really can’t manage time but you can manage your responsibilities and more importantly, your energy.
I’ve learned how to increase my mental and phsycal energy so that I can tackle the biggest tasks and then use the spare energy for the lower brain power tasks (like emails and admin work).
More Tips to Help You Increase Your Productivity
Here are a few tips where you can increase your productivity:
1) Log what you do every 15 minutes
2) Make the timer your best friend
3) Learn what time of day you have the most energy
4) Work on the hardest tasks when you have the most energy
5) Learn to say “no” to things.
Instead of focusing on crossing things off the To Do list, what if you did NOT have as many items on that list to begin with?
Learn to use the most powerful word an entreprenuer must learn to use and that is “No.”
If you say “No” to requests, that automatically saves you the stress and time to do another task.
Those are just 5 of the over 35 tips that I share in how to get more things done in less time in my Extreme MLM Productivity Regimen. If you want to learn more, Click Here.
My Lastest Challenge and New Routine
Lastly, my inlaws have left and I am a full time Daddy now 3 days ago so I’m adjusting to my new schedule. I’m testing this new schedule out so that I can time my high energy zones to my son’s sleeping schedule.
For the past few days, I’ve learned to go to bed around 9pm and then get up and start cranking at 3am. So far, so good!
I will keep you updated.

I read thru’ your blog…..and it is great that you lead a very busy life and a happy one. But the scenario is very different in my case. First i am not married with kids…..2ndly I am not into money making ventures (no job and no MLM) and 3rdly I have no dog. but still i am busy in my own way. i live with 4 sisters and a day-time nurse to take care of one of my sisters who just underwent an operation. So often i have to go out with my sisters to buy groceries. Then I am the main cook….but of course i get help from others to cut vegetables etc. I do have a short nap then i am busy at the U-tube or answering e-mails. In the evenings I watch T.V (usually Tamil dramas) then i am off to bed. So you see i lead a retired life. I used to feel very exhausted and tired but now i take Vit B12 and Q10 and feel well now. I learnt a set of old hindu Myths and stories and the course co-ordinators are wanting to carry on with the course. But I decided one set was enough. The lady is a History
lecturer in St. Mary’s college in Chennai and she says “My main focus is on spreading enlightened ideas thru’ mythology”. I was really impressed. Another subject of great interest is numerology. I went through one course with a Chinese Si Fu. He has developed his own method of evaluation and he dares to teach like a Maestro. I only do numbers for my own brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. Not everybody likes their future read. But whenever I get anybody’s birthdate by chance….then I just try to evaluate. I do it only as a hobby. There is a lot to learn about numerolgy. Most people have ordinary lives but what i like to look out for is when it is good for money and investments.
