Jeannie asked me a few days ago on
“How to set reminders about when it’s time to stop learning and start doing”
It’s so easy to fall into the trap of just learning and learning but never take action!
—– Lesson of the Day —–
How to Prevent Overwhelm
There are so many things to learn that it’s easy to get overwhelmed
Here is the first important concept
“Just in time” versus “Some other time”
Every training or personal development can be categorized as either:
a) Just in time!
The exact skill you need to learn to help you become unstuck this moment
b) Some other time!
This is for trainings that will help but not the most important thing right now.
How to “Stop Learning” and Take Action
You should never replace training with taking action.
You must learn at the same time you’re working THE DMO and list of income producing activities
Most people fail because they get overwhelmed with all the learning and never take action
The best time to learn is during “down time”
Examples are down time are when you’re driving, doing chores, etc.
It should never replace you working The DMO
You Get Paid For What You Implement
Personal development is important
but in business you don’t get paid for what you learn.
You get paid for what you take action on!
Money loves speed and fast implementation.
A successful entrepreneur that I know never finishes reading a book
Once he reads about something he needs to take action on
he immediately goes to work and makes sure he implements within 30 days.
And then he moves onto another book
but within one year, he implements 12 new things into his business.
It’s what you put into action that matters.
The Real Learning is In the Doing
I’ll end with this example
If I wanted to cook better,
what would make me a better chef?
a) Watch 10 different Youtube videos on cooking
or
b) Watch 1 cooking video and then immediately get in the kitchen and start cooking
Obviously B is the way to go!
The Learning comes from the Doing
After cooking a few times,
you may want to go watch a few different videos on cooking
but you must take action first so that you know what you need to get better on.
Focus On One Thing at a Time
It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you do too many things at once
Go implement and focus one thing at a time
before you move onto learning something new
Focus stands for:
F ->> Follow
O ->> One
C ->> Course
U ->> Until
S ->> Success
Instead of just learning and learning,
choose ONE THING and master that ONE THING
Learning too many things at once can be good entertainment but RARELY leads to success in business.
In business you get paid for what you take action on… and NOT on how much you know.
In most situations,
We need guidance and accountability more than more knowledge
Get Accountability
Accountability plays a big role in your success because it creates consistency, focus and gets you into action.
In fact, Accountability is the 7th and most important component of The Consistency System
Today’s newsletter is excerpts from the best selling book, The Consistency Pill
Remember that you don’t get paid for what you learn…
You get paid for what you implement!

Truth Is Good Enough!!
You don’t need to lie
nor hype things up‼️
If it’s that good, the truth is good enough.
The easiest way to turn off smart successful people in your life is to hype things up
The truth is also about being vulnerable on social media
Don’t let your social media just be a highlight reel
→ Be a real person and share your struggles and challenging moments
Let others know what happened but always end with positivity.
