Philippines Part 1 – Baguio!

After Hong Kong and China, I went to the Philippines to support my business partners there. After 1 day in Manila, we went on a memorable trip to Baguio with my partners Mel Clarion, Arnel Domasian and Ed Miguel. This trip was fun because I had one of my upcoming superstars, Suren Sabadi fly in from Malaysia to spend a few days with me. I wanted him to come and follow me around and learn first hand on how to build a successful business; I guess you can say it was an apprenticeship. Suren reminds me a lot of myself and Scott McGee; we were all young and hungry and incredible desire to be successful. And I could see that desire from the way Suren devours self development books and audios. It’s impressive. I enjoyed helping and teaching him and it reminded me of something I learned when I was at Suren’s stage; successful people always enjoy helping mentoring someone that is hungry and willing to work hard?! And why do successful people do that? Cause they were in their shoes not long ago!

So the lesson here is… if you are willing to “give it your all” and make the sacrifices, then someone successful will come and help you. It may take you some time to hunt that person down, but that person does exist. It did for me and now I return the favor by mentoring others.

Here are some highlights of our trip.

traveling to baguio
I arrived in Manila… and then from Manila to Baguio, we had to take an “red eye bus”. Here Arnel Domasian and I are waiting for the 1am bus…
arrived in baguio
5 hours later… we arrived! (notice the different clothes… we went from hot humid Manila to the cool comfortable Bagiuo) From left to right is Ed Miguel, Arnel Domasian, Mel Clarion and Suren Sabadi.

After we grabbed a bite and rested, we went to check out our team office in Baguio. I was impressed!
event
The main event for the night was the Business Presentation and Training. My leaders did an awesome job in promoting the event throughout the city!
blackout
Unfortunately there was a BLACK OUT in Baguio! That is not surprising but what was surprising was that even WITH the black out, people showed up! Not just a few people but over 200 people showed up! I was shocked and amazed… and at the same time, I was proud of my team! I was proud of their work ethic and also of how the event was promoted! My team is amazing!
presentation without electricity
The lights were supposed to turn on by 6pm but by 6pm, there were still no lights… but.. as my leader, Ed Miguel, said… “THE SHOW MUST GO ON!”.. so we started the meeting with only the emergency light on!

Fortunately by the time I was scheduled to speak, the electricity came back on! It’s nice to be able to see the people you are speaking to! 🙂
dinner
After the event… it was time for a team dinner and pictures! And pictures!

Next stop… to Manila and then to Bacolod!

See you in Bacolod!

Growing older population and rising consumer awareness will be the chief causes of
growth in the country. A different way to cut costs with typical insurance plans are to achieve
the minimum needed amount of insurance coverage. Comparing insurance rates online helps you quite a lot in using best
decision and eliminates the need to provide money with an insurance professional for your quotes.
