Who is Vijay Eswaran?
Vijay Eswaran is a successful entrepreneur, bestselling author, and a well-known philanthropist. An economist by training, he is the founder of a global business conglomerate whose flagship business is the multimillion-dollar network marketing business.
Vijay started his journey in network marketing as a student in the UK and continued to dabble in it part time when he moved to the US in the mid-80s for work. In the early 90s, he returned to Asia and decided to pursue network marketing full time. After an unpleasant experience with their company in 1998, he and his partners decided to use their knowledge and experience to start a network marketing company of their own.
Vijay is a well known thought leader in Asia and has written and spoken extensively about business, leadership, personal development, and life management and is a passionate advocate for improving the quality of higher education in South East Asia.
Vijay is also the recipient of numerous awards for entrepreneurship and business leadership and has been featured in Forbes as one of Asia’s Top 50 philanthropists.

How Vijay Eswaran Started in Network Marketing
Vijay Eswaran first came across network marketing while he was still in college. He was walking behind a young woman when she turned around and invited him to a presentation.
At first, he thought he had lucked out. But when he arrived, he found himself in a business meeting with six other men.
Even though it was not what he expected, he became fascinated by the idea. As an economist by training, he was skeptical.
He joined the business to test it out, but instead of proving it wrong, he became a believer.
The Turning Point for Vijay Eswaran in Network Marketing
Vijay started by retailing products and made some money. But he did not fully understand the power of building a network.
He continued part-time, even after getting a corporate job. Eventually, he was making more from MLM than from his 9-to-5.
Still, it took him time to break free from his conditioning. He grew up believing a traditional job was the only way.
In his 30s, he finally took the leap and went full-time into network marketing.
The Worst Moment in Network Marketing for Vijay Eswaran
Vijay’s lowest moment came when he and his team realized they had been misled by the company they were working with.
They had built a massive organization, but the company was not what it seemed.
Instead of quitting, Vijay and his leaders gathered everyone, admitted the mistake, and decided to start fresh.
That tough moment became a turning point. It led him to start a company built on the right values and vision.

Vijay believes people follow leaders, not just companies.
His biggest lesson was that honesty and transparency build trust.
He also learned that success is not instant. It takes years of perseverance and effort.

If Vijay had to start all over again, he would not go out looking for people.
