Members of my Network Marketing Coaching Programs can ask me for help or advice every week.
Today’s question is from a Mastermind member from Melbourne, Australia about how it’s getting harder inviting prospects to look at a business presentation.
It used to be easy for her to invite prospects to look at a MLM presentation but as she gets more experienced in the business and is growing a team, she finds that the inviting prospects is getting harder instead of easier.

Inviting Prospects Can Get Harder as You Get More Experienced
I love presenting now, I have been presenting for my downline and I enjoy it because I now feel more confident. However I want to set my own meetings as well, and get my number of meetings up. It is frustrating as I’ve been in the business for about 10 months now. I feel like it was easier to invite during my first 8 weeks in the business than it is now? Not sure if it’s because I need a new list of people to approach? I realise that I must also improve myself first, or maybe I’m not inviting enough to get the number of meetings I aim to get. How can I improve my inviting or get people to come out, or what’s the best way to set up more successful meetings?
3 Reasons Why Inviting Prospects Get Harder
There are 3 major reasons why inviting prospects get harder instead of easier.
1) You Have Negative Thoughts in your Mind
You may easily develop doubts about your ability to sponsor prospects from past rejections.
Or you may prejudge your prospects and think they are not good prospects before you even invite them.
These thoughts lead to decrease in self confidence and your prospects can sense it.
Remember, your prospects always buy you and if you are not confident, they will not be interested.
2) Your Experience Makes You Talk Too Much
This is a trap that everyone must avoid.
As you get more experienced, we tend to talk more and answer more questions.
Which makes us look more like the expert but at the same time, it also makes the business less attractive since the prospect thinks he must be a good talker or have the time to study what you have learned.
3) You Forget that People Like to Join Groups
As you grow as a leader and gain experience, you tend to rely less on others for help and do things yourself.
The downside to that is that your prospects no longer see the team aspect of the business and joining a community or team is what makes the business attractive.
