The Most Important Training at International Convention

Each August, I look forward to attending International Convention.

If you are in MLM, it is one of the most important things you have to do.

It doesn’t matter if you have no money nor time, you must attend.

In fact, if you are in my downline and don’t attend International Convention, I immediately disqualify you and don’t work with you.

Why?

Because I’ve never met anyone who has made over $400 a week in MLM that never attended Convention.

So, in other words, you’d be wasting YOUR time and MY time. You will NEVER be successful.

Going to Convention does NOT guarantee you will be successful…

but NOT going to Convention 100% guarantees you will NEVER be successful.

Attending Convention is very important because it builds on your 4 beliefs that are vital for your success:

1) Belief in Company
2) Belief in Products
3) Belief in the Industry
4) Belief in Yourself

If you just came back from your Convention, I’m sure you learned a lot and are excited.

To keep your momentum and motivation, make sure you take action and Do the 5 Things You Must Do immediately after Convention.

Networking is the Real Training of Convention

The training stages and workshops at Convention are loaded with valuable information.

But my favorite part and the MOST important part of Convention is not the actual Convention itself…

It is the networking!

It’s about meeting new friends who have the same passion as you do.

It’s about catching up with old friends and keeping each other accountable.

That’s my favorite part of Convention.

It’s all about the relationships.

By the way, isn’t that what MLM is about?!

One of the most overlooked benefits of MLM is the network that you develop.

And by network, I don’t just mean your downline. I mean everyone that you create a relationship with.

MLM has introduced great friends that has made my life more fun.

Along the way, I’ve also learned a few valuable tips.

Each year, I’ve discovered secret tips from other distributors.

One year, I learned a tip at a party at the Hard Rock Cafe in Salt Lake City that earned me immediately $80,000 USD the next year.

Another year, I learned a secret that allowed me to get better leads from lead vendors.

This year, I connected motivated distributors from different countries at my “Meet Simon” dinner at the Red Rock Brewery and helped this Australian distributor learned how to market the business to athletes.

Networking is all about connecting people. It feels good to be help distributors by connecting different people together

Getting to meet people and also connect people is what makes Convention so fun.

Here are some of the my favorite moments from the past week at International Convention.

I have a running ritual that I do each morning every year in Salt Lake City. I love the peace, quiet and the beautiful views of the valley. Running the hills is tough but you get rewarded with beautiful scenery. In this picture, you can see the state capitol to the left

Recap Training Huddle after Convention ends
After Convention was over, I did a special training recap huddle outside the VIP lounge. We had over 100 motivated distributors who stayed an hour after it ended to learn more! It went so long that they had to shut down the lights and kicked us out! Fortunately we found another location to finish the training.

Great times with Mastermind members, Iris Su, Jenny Lee, Michelle Luo and Bobbi Hu. It was great to see them and I miss them already!

Thoughts and Feedback?

What did you learn most from events?

Do you have a strategy to network or connect your team members with other entrepreneurs?

If not, make a commitment to do that at your next event.
