Blessed with a New Baby Boy
I’ve been blessed again, and I’m grateful for how God continues to make me so lucky.
This past week, God blessed me with my second son, Brendan Isaiah Chan. 🙂
Both Brendan and my wife, Kelly, are healthy and doing great at home.
Brendan’s older brothers, Obi and Ethan, also are excited to have Brendan home.
We’ve been telling Ethan about his 弟弟, “DiDi,” which means younger brother in Chinese, for months now so he’s been excited to see him for a while.
The cutest thing is that, before Brendan was born, we would teach Ethan that his 弟弟”(Didi”) was in Mommy’s tummy. Once Brendan was born, Ethan would point to his tummy and said that his “Didi” was going to come out too! LOL
But seriously, we let both Ethan and Obi know about the new addition to the family. We didn’t want any jealousy.
When Brendan came home, Brendan gave Ethan a nice gift! Ethan was so happy to get the Lego Duplo train set from Brendan.
As for Obi, we didn’t want him to get jealous and wanted the addition of Brendan to be a smooth transition. When Brendan was born and still in the hospital, I brought home the blankets and caps that Brendan wore and gave them to Obi so that he would sniff at them and be familiar with Brendan’s scent.
New Changes and Routines
So I’m in adjusting mode now…
Just when I figured out a working schedule that allowed me to accomplish my business goals and be a full time Daddy, things are changing already.
The good news is that change is good because change is the only way I can get better and wiser.
So we’ll see what happens in the next few weeks.
Letting Self Doubt and Negativity Steal Our Lives Away
When I see babies, I see many things.
I see innocence…
I also see unlimited potential that has not been polluted by negativity and self doubt.
When we are born, we come with a fresh mind that is open to everything.
Unfortunately, as we get older, our experiences destroy many of our dreams by making us doubt many of the things we are capable of doing.
Instead of being like the baby who thinks he can do everything, we do the opposite and talk ourselves out of the things we can do.
How do we let this happen?
If we are not careful, the daily doses of negativity around us steal our dreams and lives away.
The theft of our dreams and the destruction of our self-esteem continues until we lose all ambition and we just accept and settle for the life we are given, instead of what we can achieve.
The day we settle is the day our dreams die, and that is the saddest day of our lives.
Have you ever had doubts that you could not do something?
Or maybe you want to be successful, but negative, toxic people have polluted you?
Learning to Overcome Self Doubt and Negativity
Learning how to stay positive and motivated is one of the secret tips to becoming successful in anything.
There is always an angel and a devil in our lives. The angel motivates us and makes us confident to tackle challenges. The devil drips negativity and increase self doubt in everything we do.
There are many ways to stay motivated, and there is an upcoming training that I highly recommend you to check out, especially if you are a MLM distributor.
I’m helping promote a special training by Nancy On. Nancy is one of my Mastermind coaching members. She has overcome tremendous mental challenges throughout her childhood.
Nancy was the black sheep in her family. While one of her sisters graduated from Harvard, she was a community college dropout.
I’m not going to give everything away, but Nancy became the youngest ever to achieve the rank of Diamond Director in her MLM company.
It’s a very inspiring story and a valuable training.

My Dream as a Parent
One of my goals as a father is to apply what I’ve learned throughout the years, as well as the tips that Nancy shares in her training, and impart that wisdom to my two sons.
If my two boys can learn to overcome the self doubt and negativity that they will eventually face in their lives, they will be able to fulfill their unlimited potential and achieve whatever they want in life.
When that happens, I will know I have been a great dad and created my legacy.
What do you do to overcome self doubt and negative things that happen in your life?
Think about that for this week, and let me know how you handle your challenges.
Got to go. Baby is calling! 🙂
Sincerely,
Simon Chan

A Wonderful Day to a very fortunate daddy coach Simon!!! Yehey!! It’s time to celebrate, now Ethan has a new brother playmate! Brendan Isaiah, wow his name sounds very nice and fit for your 2nd boy.
Having a second child is really a great feeling, especially seing him for the first time inside nursery room.
Felt the same way coach Simon when we had our 2nd daughter now turns 1 year old last July 2013. Know what name we gave her.. Psalm Usana…LOL
